    Rachel Vineberg Jones

    Principal + Founder

    Rachel Vineberg Jones is an architectural designer with a unique ability to unify architecture, interiors, and art. Her projects are wide-ranging and include art institutions, hospitality, workplaces, and residential projects.

    Rachel worked at Gensler, Mark Cavagnero Associates, and envelope A+D. She currently sits on the Architecture & Design Accessions Committee at SFMOMA and the ICA SF Board of Directors.

    Rachel holds a B.A. from Columbia University in History of Art and Architecture, and a Masters in Architecture from the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley, where she was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal, the program’s top honor.

    Prior to her career in architecture, Rachel worked at venture capital firm First Round, collaborating closely with founders, engineers, and investors. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, she has called the Bay Area home for over a decade.

    Matthew Palmquist

    Design Director

    With an expansive knowledge of history, fabrication, and assembly, Matthew Palmquist brings his design direction to work across scales, from objects to architecture.

    Matthew previously worked at Foster + Partners, Sidell Pakravan Architects, and Apple. He holds his Masters in Architecture from the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley, where he was awarded the John K Branner Fellowship.

    Matthew has also taught studios at UC Berkeley and San Jose State University. He was Editor of Borderwall Urbanisms, published by the Global Urban Humanities Institute at UC Berkeley with collaboration from the Mellon Foundation.

    Prior to transitioning into design and architecture, Matthew worked as a finish carpenter and apprenticed as a woodworker with the monks of Saint John’s Abbey.

    Nikky Fleisher

    Studio Manager

    Nikky Fleisher manages studio workflow and oversees project expediting, ensuring momentum from project kickoff through installation.

    Nikky's career in San Francisco spans an investment firm, Moët Hennessy (LVMH), and Marriott International’s Sales and Events Corporate Team, where she honed a meticulous, detail-driven approach to project coordination. While at Marriott, she was honored with the company’s Spirit to Serve Award for her commitment to service excellence.

    She holds a B.S. in Hospitality Management from Florida State University, providing a foundation in client relations and operational efficiency. Prior to joining the studio, Nikky developed her administrative expertise while cultivating a lifelong admiration for art and collected design.

    Elliott Becker

    Design Assistant

    Elliott supports projects across all phases, from early concept development through fabrication, construction, and completion. He contributes to client coordination, visualization, and digital learning tools, bringing a thoughtful and grounded approach to the studio’s design process.

    Elliott graduated with honors from Santa Clara University, where he helped lead a research lab in virtual reality and developed a foundation in 3D design and modeling. His work ranged from interactive games to formal academic research, shaping a perspective that bridges emerging technologies and spatial thinking. He continued his studies at Columbia University’s Intro to Architecture program, further refining his appreciation for design and architecture.
